BIO & CONTACT
Croeso, Welcome to my website!
I'm Miriam Hughes, a photographer from West Wales with a passion for capturing life's stories.
Since 2015, I've been dedicated to the art, taking pictures professionally and recently delving into the
realm of filmmaking. Through my lens, I uncover the heart of each moment, whether it's a breathtaking
landscape, the beauty of a winter wonderland or a candid portrait. But there's something truly
enchanting about the winter that sets my heart aglow, and I've nurtured a fascination for Arctic polar
photography.
My passion for photography has led me to diverse corners of the world,
and I'm thrilled to travel for work. In 2023, I embarked on a six-month journey to Norway,
where I combined my passion for photography and filmmaking with studying abroad.
While photography is my first love, my artistic journey has evolved into filmmaking. I craft films that
resonate, aiming to shed light on untold stories and amplify voices often unheard. You can explore
these films on my YouTube channel.
Beyond the lens, I am fueled by a passion for learning and a deep curiosity about the motives behind
outdoor activities. Delving into the connection and historical roots that bind us humans to nature and
the great outdoors adds profound depth to my explorations. My quest is not just to capture moments
but to encapsulate the essence of our shared history with the natural world.
My dedication has led to recognition, including exhibitions at prestigious venues like the Wales
Millennium Centre. And some notable achievements.
